The Need
Millions around the world are forced to live without safe, secure, or dignified housing. Families in conflict zones, disaster-affected areas, and urban poverty face homelessness, damaged homes, and unsafe conditions. Many lack basic household items, furniture, or essential utilities such as water, gas, and electricity.
From Palestinian and Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon, to shanty towns and street communities in Pakistan, and rough sleepers on the streets of Egypt, the need for shelter is urgent and constant. Providing safe homes is one of the most expensive forms of support we offer, and with limited funds we can only assist a few families at a time. But as One World Relief grows, we hope to reach more people, bringing stability and dignity to all who need it most.
Our Work Our Activities
One World Relief works to provide safe and reliable shelter for those who have none. We help families who are homeless, living in damaged homes, or displaced by conflict or disaster. Our support ranges from rebuilding and repairing homes to supplying beds, furniture, heating or cooling, and utilities. In refugee camps, street communities, or shanty towns, our volunteers help set up shelters, erect tents, and ensure families have the basic necessities to live safely.
Providing shelter is costly and labour-intensive, so we currently assist a limited number of families, focusing on those most in urgent need. Each home we help restore or set up is a step toward giving families security, dignity, and hope.
As we grow, we aim to expand our support, reaching more refugee families in Lebanon, more street communities in Egypt and Pakistan, and more people recovering from conflict or disaster.
