A Crisis With Many Layers
Palestinian families across the Occupied Palestinian Territory — Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem — face different but interconnected humanitarian pressures.
Conflict, displacement, damaged homes and services, restrictions and loss of livelihoods can push households deeper into hardship. OWR responds according to assessed need, available funding, safe access and responsible delivery.
What Families Are Facing
The crisis is not one-dimensional. Different households face different combinations of violence, displacement, disrupted services, access restrictions and loss of income or land.
Gaza: Displacement
Families may face repeated displacement, damaged homes and loss of essential services.
Essential Needs
Access to food, clean water, shelter and healthcare can remain fragile.
West Bank: Displacement
Communities can face displacement pressures, demolitions and movement restrictions.
Land & Livelihoods
Settler violence and loss of safe access to agricultural land can threaten household livelihoods.
West Bank — Violence, Displacement & Livelihoods
Palestinian communities across the West Bank face settler violence, displacement pressures and demolitions, alongside movement restrictions and disruption to livelihoods and access to land.
For farming and rural communities, attacks affecting people, homes, agricultural land and olive trees can reach far beyond property. Loss of safe access to land can threaten income, food security and a family’s ability to remain within its community.
Gaza — Emergency, Displacement & Recovery
Families in Gaza continue to face the consequences of conflict, widespread destruction, repeated displacement and disruption to essential services.
Our priority is practical humanitarian assistance where circumstances allow. As access and conditions permit, longer-term recovery can also mean helping families rebuild homes, livelihoods, education and everyday life.

Local Presence Matters
Our work is shaped by people who live within the communities we support, speak the language and build relationships over time. That gives us better information about changing needs, local prices, suppliers and practical delivery.
Students, neighbours, teachers and other community volunteers regularly contribute their time without salaries. In some distributions, supporters also contribute vehicles, fuel or other practical help, reducing unnecessary logistics costs and helping project donations go further.
